A competition that develops, not just discovers.
EMERGE takes gospel music ministers through four distinct stages — Auditions, The Discipline, The Heritage and The Sound — with coaching, rehearsals and mentorship built into every step. Rooted in the conviction that song is a skill to be trained and a message to be released, the competition ends with one voice ready to carry the sound into the world.

Auditions
Discovery and selection
The doorway into EMERGE. Registered contestants present themselves before the panel for the first time, and the field is narrowed to those ready to be developed.

The Discipline
Songs assigned to your voice
Contestants perform songs selected according to their vocal abilities. This stage tests obedience to direction, control and technical growth under coaching.

The Heritage
African sound and identity
Contestants explore African musical styles such as Fuji, Juju, Apala and Afro-inspired gospel — carrying the message in the sound of their own soil.

The Sound
Your own song
Contestants perform an original song written by themselves. This is where a contestant stops interpreting and starts releasing their own sound.
The prize
The grand prize
The winner of 2026 takes home the Grand Prize Package worth ₦300,000 — cash, studio time, an international experience and the EMERGE Award itself.
